Pico Quantitative Trading is interested in hiring a well-organized and responsible professional to assume a position as Contracts Administrator/Paralegal/Legal Assistant within its Legal Department.

Role

The role will encompass two main areas of contract practice: 1. Contract Administration: the production and administration of client documentation; and 2. Contract Management: the management, organization and storage of company documentation.

The Contracts Administrator shall perform the following responsibilities: work and collaborate with the Legal Department and Sales/Account Management; maintaining contractual documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as providing ongoing assistance internally in the administration of contractual agreements. This includes maintaining contract files and records; preparing status reports; and reconciling differences. Other responsibilities will include assisting the General Counsel with maintaining and processing outside counsel invoices. The Candidate may also be asked to provide ad hoc administrative support to the Legal Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding, producing and administrating Pico client documentation to onboard technology clients, often with short deliverable deadlines
  • Performing certain due diligence related to clients and vendors, including AML verification checks

The Jr. BA/PM will work closely with clients and/or teams across the firm to assess and document requirements, construct high-level project plans / proposals, coordinate delivery and communicate status of various initiatives. Required Skills

  • Complete knowledge of Linux/Unix command line
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux or derived distributions; Further experience with other distributions is a plus
  • Fundamental Scripting and Automation Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory
  • General understanding of IP Multicast, Routing and the TCP/IP stack
  • Understanding of advanced time concepts (GPS, PTP and NTP)
  • Professionalism to support a 24/7 production trading environment
  • Day to Day support and troubleshooting in a low latency environment
  • Market data related troubleshooting – feeds, lost/dropped packets, and latency
  • Operational improvement to continue to deliver a high level of service as we scale out our environment
  • Assisting clients with server troubleshooting, maintenance and deployments
  • Enter trouble tickets and work closely with our remote hands teams in the datacenters
  • Assist in R&D of new hardware, technologies and techniques
  • Support the business in new initiatives
  • Keep very close to the products for both trading and technology
  • Experience with packet sniffing applications (Wireshark/Libpcap, tcpdump) is a plus

Required Experience

  • 5 Years of experience working on Servers in a Linux/UNIX Environment
  • 5 years of experience with Linux running on server hardware in a production environment
  • 2- 5 years of direct experience with Linux in a trading, financial services, or similar environment
  • Experience with HP, Dell, IBM, or Sun Server Hardware
  • Experience with Nagios, Zenoss, Sensu, Ansible or other monitoring software
  • Experience working in a datacenter colocation facility and with cabling is a plus
  • Experience with VMWare, Linux KVM, OpenStack, or Xen is a plus
  • Experience scripting in Bash, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl
  • RHCT, RHCE, or MCSE certified or equivalent level of knowledge

Optional

  • Understanding of JIRA as a ticketing system 

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Science or related technical field
