Overview

Pico is currently seeking candidates for a Sales Engineer position. A Pico Sales Engineer has a thorough understanding of all existing and in-development Pico products and services in addition to the competitive landscape; s/he must also have strong project management skills, attention to detail, outstanding oral / written communication skills, and will thrive within a fast-paced and, at times, demanding environment. Responsibilities:

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of all of Pico’s products and services including data center footprint, network, market data coverage, software solutions, and vendor partners
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams as a technical expert to help qualify and ultimately win business
  • Work closely with clients and prospects to understand/interpret technology requirements and collaboratively design, recommend, and document individual technology solutions
  • Lead whiteboard sessions and actively participate in presentations

Responsibilities

This is a customer facing position whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, problem resolution, for a large service provider network infrastructure.  You’ll work with internal/external clients, operations/systems, financial exchanges and Network Engineers to investigate and solve system issues and participate in business analysis.

Purpose of the role:

The Service Operations Engineer will be responsible for the smooth running and stability of Pico’s client and internal systems infrastructure, investigating and resolving issues as they arise while thinking of ways to reduce common problems and monitoring critical systems.  This is a customer facing role, with the individual responsible for delivering quality service and support to our current and future client base. Besides your day to day activities, there will also be opportunities for you to be involved in projects and innovation.

Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to) 

  • Provide support service that ensure Pico’s infrastructure services are running to its optimum performance and that all departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Ensure stability of all Pico System Services
  • Deliver an outstanding level of service to your Customer base
  • Maximizing availability of Pico’s infrastructure through continuous improvement and proactive, preventative maintenance
  • Ensure that all procedures and policies are up to date and are available for use by all members of the team
  • Using scripts and automation, support deployment and maintenance of applications and system settings
  • Recording and taking ownership of issues using our in-house ticketing system through to successful resolution
  • Conduct deep dive analysis to determine root cause of technical issues
