Overview

Pico is currently seeking candidates for a Sales Engineer position. A Pico Sales Engineer has a thorough understanding of all existing and in-development Pico products and services in addition to the competitive landscape; s/he must also have strong project management skills, attention to detail, outstanding oral / written communication skills, and will thrive within a fast-paced and, at times, demanding environment. This position will report to Pico’s Director of Sales Engineering and will interact directly with sophisticated microsecond sensitive trading firms in addition to internal sales, account management, product management, and development staff.

Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to)

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of all of Pico’s products and services including data center footprint, network, market data coverage, software solutions, and vendor partners
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams as a technical expert to help qualify and ultimately win business
  • Work closely with clients and prospects to understand/interpret technology requirements and collaboratively design, recommend, and document individual technology solutions
  • Lead whiteboard sessions and actively participate in presentations
  • Provide feedback into the Product Management team to pass along requirements that will influence roadmaps and future design considerations
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry leading financial technology solution providers and the competitive landscape; be confident in recommending or referring to others
  • Interact with prospects from sys-admins on up to C-suite; build and maintain relationships
  • Craft detailed solution diagrams in Visio
  • Provide technical support for proof-of-concepts and implementations, identifying and resolving challenges and escalating as required
  • Work with both Systems and Network Engineering teams to design/engineer through non-standard elements of a given solution
  • Be able to solution sell to the bigger picture understanding the components of what is needed to satisfy requirements

  • Assist in pushing deals over the finish line by building trust and rapport with other technical stakeholders inside a client account.

Implementation Engineer

Purpose of the role:

Pico is currently seeking candidates for a role as a Network Implementation Engineer. This is a customer facing position whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring, troubleshooting, implementation, problem resolution, for a large service provider network infrastructure.  You’ll work with internal/external clients, operations/systems, financial exchanges and Network Engineers to investigate and solve system issues and participate in business analysis.

Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to)

  • Perform Day to Day Technical Deployments.
  • Perform daily checkouts of the environment and following any changes
  • Complete customer change requests
  • Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes
  • Perform peer review of configurations scheduled for deployment
  • Installation of network hardware and software
  • Participate in 1st or 2nd shift and on-call rotation
  • Troubleshoot internal and external customer issues related to changes

  • Track and validate billing status for all accounts including new service initiations
  • Lead monthly billing validation process with Sales & Account Management team
  • Partner with Finance to insure Account Receivables are escalated and actioned, where necessary

Overview:

Pico, is currently seeking strong Network Engineer candidates. This position will report directly to the Global Head of Network Engineering and is accountable for providing the best network solutions to meet internal and external client demands.  The selected candidate will work directly with Architecture, Operations, Service Delivery, Sales Engineering, and other Infrastructure teams to enhance and support Pico’s fast-growing business needs.  

Responsibilities:

  • Create network use case designs based on customer, architectural, and security requirements
  • Create network configuration templates based upon network design and/or technical network concepts
  • Function as L3 escalation for support and delivery teams
  • Work with architects to lab and test new network solutions and features
  • Test new code, bug fixes, and use case designs prior to production release
  • Construct and peer review network configurations prior to deployments across Arista, Cisco ASA, Juniper, Fortinet, and other vendor platforms
  • Liaison with architects, developers, and systems engineers to design Pico applications and products

Purpose of the role:

The Service Operations Engineer will be responsible for the smooth running and stability of Pico’s client and internal systems infrastructure, investigating and resolving issues as they arise while thinking of ways to reduce common problems and monitoring critical systems.  This is a customer facing role, with the individual responsible for delivering quality service and support to our current and future client base. Besides your day to day activities, there will also be opportunities for you to be involved in projects and innovation.

  • Provide support service that ensure Pico’s infrastructure services are running to its optimum performance and that all departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Ensure stability of all Pico System Services
  • Deliver an outstanding level of service to your Customer base
  • Maximizing availability of Pico’s infrastructure through continuous improvement and proactive, preventative maintenance
  • Ensure that all procedures and policies are up to date and are available for use by all members of the team
  • Using scripts and automation, support deployment and maintenance of applications and system settings

Project Manager

Overview

Pico is looking to fill a Project Manager (PM) / Business Analyst (BA) position. The PM /BA will work closely with clients and/or teams across the firm to assess and document requirements, construct high-level project plans / proposals, coordinate delivery and communicate status of various initiatives. The PM /BA will be expected to become a Subject Matter Expert on any project to which they are assigned, and will be the point of contact for status, timelines, and risk factors of their projects to management and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in requirements-gathering sessions with clients and/or Pico internal teams and document decisions / action items
  • Translate complicated concepts into clear documentation for a general audience
  • Create and maintain project plans and manage projects through to implementation, with regular communication to clients / vendors / management via status meetings, emails, etc.
  • Interface with technical teams to coordinate resourcing and produce detailed project plans
  • Evaluate all key project deliverables, as well as final product, to ensure traceability of requirements, high quality and customer acceptance
  • PM /BA may also be asked to perform other tasks such as product research, sales presentations, software testing, vendor assessment/liaison, etc.
  • Able to appropriately set expectations to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Effectively navigate the organization to deliver each component of complex projects while holding internal resources accountable for their deliverables
  • Lead regular calls with the clients to update them of delivery progress
  • Assess and coordinate cross-teams to mitigate project risks and overcome roadblocks
